The minimum wage was 9.47 euros in the west of Germany, while it was 9.65 euros per hour in eastern Germany. According to the De States data, the wage increases in imports increased by 2.5% in 2017, while real earnings increased by 0.8%.

Minimum wage rates such as unskilled and low-skilled workers and those employed as part-time workers are able to achieve a wage increase above average wages through the application of the minimum wage. The highest increases in salaries were seen in strength, garden and landscaping, construction and catering industries.
